If you hear that polliwogs fall from the sky, can you believe that?
Such a mysterious thing really has happened in Japan.

More than 100 dead polliwogs have fallen from the sky recently at two locations in Ishikawa Prefecture, puzzling local residents and animal experts alike.

Locals are speculating that the little critters were blown in by a tornado or were dropped by dissatisfied birds.

quoted from The Japan Times

There is one hint. It is a fact that Ishikawa is the famous area which UFOs are often witnessed.
So, I think this will be ALIEN's doing. But, I don't know why do they doing that.

I have heard of this strange occurance happening before.I found pictures at this link: http://www.pinktentacle.com/2009/06/tadpole-rain-japan-pics/
This happened many years ago also and was published in "Ripley's Believe it or Not." The explanation was that a water spout had picked up a lake containing tadpoles and dropped the lake and the tadpoles elsewhere. God has a sense of humor.

Hi! It's a strange occurrence indeed (Thanks Ms. Kathy for the link!). I really wouldn't want to have them falling on my head or something o_O.

They could have fallen from Laputa (Castle in the Sky)

Wow, that's very interesting. I would like to read more about that.

There is one clue. Ishikawa is the famous area where UFOs often are witnessed. So, I suspect this event has been the doing of aliens, although I don't know their rationale.

Hi AEZ, what a luvly drawing. ^^ . It's really strange.. But the question is... Who did it? An alien, human, or bird? Maybe it's because of birds. It's better to wait the case investigation report which will be published. Hmmmmm... Alien?
Btw, Lucis my name is Aulia. I do learn English too. :)

A strange thing about the phenomena is that it usually is selective (it nearly always is limited to one or two species in the drop) which makes it less believable to be from natural causes.

Nice site. We call them tadpoles in Australia (but there may be other names)--if the picture your UFO shows is correct (or perhaps they are small fish). Tadpoles grow into frogs. I wonder what kind of frogs live in Japan?

Good luck in learning english.

I heard stories of fish dropping out of the sky....all sorts of things fall from the sky like coins, etc. One scientist claimed it is possible that fish and tadpoles can spawn inside rain cloud formations.

hello,

I'm glad the aliens didn't decided to kill and drop anybody from the skies.

I'm Brazilian, is my English strange?

There are many documentations throughout history about raining frogs and fishes. If the acquatic/amphibian is in the water and they are light in weight then they can be carried via waterspout formation.
