Japanese-Style Curry

That's good taste! Good job!

Curry is originally Indian dish. I'd heard it was brought to Japan from England at the end of the Edo period. And now, It is too much to say that Japanese-style curry is a different dish from original curry.

Curry, as well as kara-age, is one of the most popular dishes in Japan. There are many curry shops in any cities. And also, curry is often made at home. Of course, I love it.
How to make Japanese-style curry is very easy.
First, meat(usually beef, pork, chicken or seafood) and vegetables(usually potatoes, onion and carrot) cut into suitable peaces, and fry them in a pot, and pour water, and boil together.
And last, put and stir curry roux into a pot. That's complete! It's so easy, right?

But, there is an easier way. Do you know?
That's this.

Just wait for three minutes.

Ah... Just to make sure, I say. The curry on first picture is not retort-packed!

Curry is my 17-year old son's favorite food in Japan. Our friends in the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force hosted a party with four different curry flavor. Yum.

MMM. I love curry. We'll make most varieties at home, but the green stuff is the best.

"That's good taste!" is grammatically correct, but english speakers usually say "That tastes good!"

Kelly
Thank you for correcting.
Green stuff? For example, spinach?

I think I'll try making it, the japanese way :)

Oh, so that pack is beef-flavored curry.
Is there already meat inside the package?

I'm also curious what is retort-packed. I can't seem to imagine what you want to say.

That's not "flavored". That's in real beef and vegetables.
Boiling for three minutes is finishing. After that, it put rice over. That's complete.
The retort-packed curry is popular in Japan.

Ciao, Ferdinando!
Yes, I agree with you.
I visited your blog. Your English is very well.
Let's keep on each other.
Thank you.
