I was shocked by one news.
It's J.D.Salinger's death. Because, my most loved novel is "The Catcher in the Rye".
When I read "The Catcher in the Rye" first, I was a high school student. It's about 25 years ago.
But, I'll never forget the impact, impression and sympathy for "Holden".
In fact, I read his story for many times. Of course, I'll read it for many times after this.
I think Holden may be Salinger. Or, Salinger may be Holden?
May his soul rest in peace.

You also loved his book?!
Yeah.. i was shocked either.
It was really sad.. Holden's life, nor Salinger's.
Truly a deep sympathy and loss for him....
I wouldn't be surprised if Catcher in the Rye is somewhat autobiographical. Salinger eventually became a recluse, a very Holden thing to do. If you liked Catcher in the Rye, you should read "9 Stories"...it's very strange, and perhaps even more autobiographical.

Thank you for comment. Of course, I'd read "9 Strories", and my favorite story is "Laughing Man". What story do you like?
